FatehpurSikhri Mosque

This is the inside of the building below where many people make a pilgramage to offer prayers. This area is predominantly Muslim. The Sufi holy man is buried in this tomb. The girls are standing by the window where people offer their prayers by tieing thread around the stone cutouts. The guide told me everyone gets 3 wishes...one for themselves, one for family, and one for a friend. He said to keep the wishes secret and separate, whatever that means...he told me 3 times. Secret and separate. I made my wishes and will keep them secret and separate.
This is the outside of the holy man's tomb. Even though the emperor had 3 wives, only one of them bore him a child, one son. The Hindu wife produced the next heir to the throne. Chandru tells the story about how the holy man would be punished if he blessed the women and they didn't produce any babies. SO, consider this for a moment and ask yourself who the biological father of the future king likely was....It's super interesting to think about...because the holy man was a Sufi (think love poems and seduction). Two generations later, the Shah Jahan was born who was the ultimate lover...building the Taj Mahal for his beloved wife's tomb.
