Today we drove from Cochin south to Allepey which is famous for its backwater cruises. It's a paradise of coconut trees and greenery here. It's a pretty interesting place...Kerala is actually the first ever elected communist state and remains communist. We took a 2 hour backwater cruise and then watched the sunset for an hour over the Arabian Sea. The water was so warm, the waves excellent and the sun pink. The sunset was magical. I met a group of school kids at the beach who were so sweet, they were so sweet. I got a couple great photos of them. Mostly it seems people are so curious about seeing white people here. I don't exactly blend in. I have limited internet here, so no photos tonight.
Tomorrow we drive to Kanyakumari and spend two nights. The beach there will be amazing. It's the very tip of the pennisula of India. Happy Valentine's everyone. Love to you all from India.
