Weekend Getaway

Guess where I am???

Nope, not the Carribean, not Africa, not Mexico. It's Michigan. I never imagined it to be like this. Markus surprised me with a weekend getaway...we took the ferry across Lake Michigan and drove up the coast to Glen Arbor. The Sleeping Bear sand dunes were beautiful. What a lovely place. One day, it was so windy that the sand was whipping across the dune, covering up your footprints just as fast as you could walk. It was vicious wind actually. We had pockets full of sand in every place imaginable. Seriously.

The sunsets were amazing over the lake. The water was warm and crysal clear and blue. It's the Carribean of the north.
